Nuremberg/Amsterdam, December 9, 2013 – International online advertising marketer ad pepper media is selling its subsidiary, Crystal Semantics Ltd, to 24/7 Media, Inc., WPP Digital’s marketing technology company. Crystal Semantics was established in 2001, acquired by ad pepper media in 2006 and evolved into a leading solutions provider for the online advertising market.

Crystal Semantics offers innovative technical solutions for contextual search popups and advertising banners. With its semantic analysis tool ‘Textonomy’, Crystal Semantics introduced the world’s first Sense Engine™ technology, which is now patented in the U.S. and UK.
Unlike conventional search engine technologies, which are primarily based on mathematic algorithms, Textonomy uses linguistic methods in order to determine the semantic relationship between words and the context in which they appear.
